Everything has been thought out to make you feel at home, from the beautiful traditional Provencal décor, the excellent quality linens, and a superbly stocked kitchen.  Simply relax and soak up the sunrise as it peeps through the woodland, creeps down the gentle terraces, lighting up an old cabanon, olive, oak and pine trees, and listen to the gentle peel of the church bells floating along the valley from Notre Dame de Graces  as the morning mist clears from the spectacular hills in the distance.

Perfectly located within a nice flat walk from the village centre where you'll discover some beautiful shops, restaurants and art galleries, or you may prefer to enjoy the peace and tranquility that Les Terrasses offers by enjoying the house and exploring its lovely secluded woodland terrasses and hammocks. 

 

There are two spacious sun terrasses adjacent to the inviting swimming pool, and a traditional Provencal Bar-B-Q with an outside dining table and various seating areas, where you can enjoy cooking alfresco while soaking up a magical sunset as it goes down behind a pretty little vineyard that runs alongside the driveway, all while enjoying a glass of chilled local rose.

On the east side of the house there's another dining area under a traditional Provencal style pergola, perfect for breakfast as the sun rises through the trees over the stone terraces or for a cool shady lunch when it's really hot.

Location

Les Terrasses is a five minute drive, a 10 minute cycle ride, or a very enjoyable 30 minute walk to the heart of  Cotignac, one of seven winners of 'The Most Beautiful Villages In France' in 2022. ​

This gem of a house is ideally located if you wish to pop in to the village for delicious fresh bread and pastries in the morning, to wander around the fabulous Tuesday market, shop in the beautiful gift shops and galleries,  or enjoy a wine tasting at one of the local chateaus, or superb meal at one of the many excellent restaurants.

Nestling in a private slice of terraced woodland, you will be able to relax and unwind in luxury and peace, surrounded by birdsong and nature.  Perfect for families or couples wanting an authentic Provencal Home with space and privacy.  Enjoy!

Themes

The entire house and swimming pool were totally renovated throughout in 2025, having previously stood neglected and empty for for 6 years. 

 

Subtle Provencal style and colours flow throughout this exquisite home, in tune with the surrounding terraces and woodland.  The soft tones of travertine compliment some stunning antique furniture, and particular attention has been paid to detail - from the soft furnishings, excellent quality bed linen, well stocked library, great selection of games, plus a superbly equipped kitchen to make your stay luxurious and memorable. 

 

Wonderful in the summer and extremely cosy in the winter, this is the ideal home from home at any time of year.

Les Terrasses is the perfect holiday home near Cotignac.
We enjoyed one of our best holidays ever in the region, and this was largely down to the holiday villa.
It is such a special place to stay – warm, inviting and immaculately presented, with every detail thoughtfully considered.
The outdoor space is huge, with seating areas throughout the gardens, while the swimming pool and terrace provide both sun and shade throughout the day. Less than a five-minute drive from the picturesque village of Cotignac, restaurants, shops and places to visit were all on our doorstep.
My wife, our sons and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. If I could give more than five stars, I would.

 

A perfect stay from start to finish! Richard, our host, and Louise, the concierge, were extremely responsive and very attentive. The house was pristine, spotlessly clean. Special mention for the bedding, which was worthy of a 5-star hotel: we slept like kings! As for the kitchen, it's incredible. It really has everything you need to cook just like at home. Nothing to complain about. We recommend it without hesitation and will be happy to come back!

We spent two weeks in a real haven of peace on the heights of Cotignac. The garden is huge and full of little spots to relax.
